About the Photographer
Simon lives in Hathersage in the Peak District of Derbyshire and has developed a wide range of images in his Photographic Portfolio.
Commissions have been extensive and include product photography for a Fair Trade Company’s website, a photo shoot in Kenya, photographic images of fine arts work, formal and informal events photography and images for the website of the Hathersage Hall Business Centre.
'Framed' - an image taken alonside the River Tyne in Newcastle - was recently 'Highly Commended' in the 2010 'The Art of Building' Competition run by the Chartered Institute of Building. Over 1000 photographers took part in the competition and this image was one of only 12 that were highly commended.
His images have appeared in a variety of photographic journals. These include:

About 70 of his images, including the cover image, appeared in a book celebrating the 150th Birthday of the local Primary School.
The March 2010 Edition of 'Derbyshire Life' carried three pages of his images.
His 'Early Morning Dew' image was chosen as Website Winner of the Month in Issue 74 of ‘Digital Photographer’ magazine.
