Simon is a Derbyshire based amateur photographer. Now semi-retired from 26 years of full time teaching, he is able to spend a little more time with a camera. He has always had an interest in photography, progressing over the years from a very faithful Brownie Box camera to a digital SLR camera.
His images have appeared in a wide range of publications and on a variety of websites, including Living Art as a Featured Member.
The Steam Railway magazine used one of his steam railway images on their centre Gallery pages.
One of his images was chosen for 'Best in Show' in the Digital Life section of the Daily Telegraph e-paper. A further image was featured on the same website a few weeks later.
The Dairy Farm Montage appeared in an edition of the Farmers Weekly magazine.
Simon photographed many of the products which appear on the 'Jambohut' Fair Trade Company's website.
'Rust in Peace' appeared in the August 2008 Digital SLR Photography magazine.
'Early Morning Dew' was chosen as Website Winner of the Month in Issue 74 of Digital Photographer magazine.
A page of Simon's images was recently published in Issue 84 (May 2009) of Digital Camera Buyer.
About 70 of his images, including the cover image, are to be published (June 7th 2009) in a local Derbyshire Book celebrating the 150th Birthday of the Hathersage Primary School.
